Before you create your first design, please make sure your system meets the requirements below:

Requirements: Windows 10/11 (64-bit). An NVIDIA GPU with Compute Capability 8.6, 8.9 or 12.0 are supported (RTX 30/40/50-series, see GPUs)

How to Create your first Design

Welcome! In this section, you’ll go through the essential steps to create your first design with FilmOptima. We’ll guide you from the ground up:

1. Add Material – define the optical properties of the materials you want to use.
2. Add Target – set the performance goals for your design.
3. Add Design – combine everything into a non-optimized thin-film design.
4. Optimize Design – optimize your first thin-film design.
5. Use the Optimization Queue – optimize your first thin-film design using the optimization queue.

By the end, you are able to optimize your first design built from scratch. This is the best place to start if you’re new to FilmOptima.
